Plaza Motel

The room was very clean. The staff were friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Plaza Motel is a charming, 2nd generation, family-owned and run motel. Rooms are spacious, clean, and have comfortable mattresses. WiFi is available, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, and hand and bath soaps. The open grass area with picnic tables was very nice for a picnic. Plenty of parking The owners are endearing and have deep knowledge of the area as they are life-long residents. It's nice to have a good old-fashioned metal key to lock the room instead of electronic locks that are sometimes easy to hack. My family and I will absolutely visit again!

Definitely has that strong smell that one of the other reviewers mentioned but it wasn’t overwhelming to me. You get what you pay for. A bed and place to keep you warm. The bed is decent in my opinion. Hopefully you don’t get noisy neighbors keeping you up all night because You can hear pretty much everything , the front desk was kind enough to come out but they can only do so much.

I just stayed at this hotel with my adult children, and our experience was great with this hotel. I rented two rooms. I found the rooms had been updated, so they looked better than the pictures, and better than what I expected. I knew going in this was a budget motel, so my expectations were low. The beds were new and very comfy, the pillows were puffy and clean, the towels were new and soft. The rooms were clean! We checked thoroughly—no bugs. The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful. There’s good internet and TV access. I did not see any nefarious activity going on and I was watching. It was very quiet. Everyone we encountered in the whole town was super friendly and nice, although we could tell we were being noticed as “out of towners.” That’s ok. The hotel is great for the price. My rental car cost over twice as much as the hotel, so I can’t complain. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a funeral in Preston and stayed one night. The room was large and clean. The shower was hot and good stream. There was a small refrigerator to keep our cold water and travel foods. That's all we needed after a long day of travel. However, the mattresses were well used and lumpy. That's the reduced one star. We needed one roll away for our grandson. It was a very minimul cost and delivered right away, even at our 10:30 pm later arrival. One unique thing, real keys are still used to open the doors. We loved that piece of nostalgia. We'd stay again, if we're ever back.

Great spot for travelers, if you need a clean, affordable spot to stay the night this is your place. Bed was comfortable, coffee in the room and a throw back to when motels were cool to stay at. Nice towels, even make up towels for the ladies, nice touch. Wood paneling on walls reminded me of my cabin. Love they have real room keys.

This motel is an older motel and you can tell they are remodeling and updating. Our room had new carpet, looked newly painted and had the same amenities as a name brand hotel. Our only gripe was they needed better beds. The current beds are ok but we are a older couple with bad backs, so we woke up alittle stiff. But for the money, the room was well worth it. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. If you are passing by and need a room for the night, I would recommend this place.

Older but well maintained motel. Clean, well stocked and smelled good. Under beds (yes, I look!) was clean. Fluffy and thick towels!! Only issue was the beds are waaay too soft! Checking in was easy and pleasant. Will stay again.
